Correlation between the Symptoms of Major Depression during Pregnancy, Fetal Indicators and Delivery Complications

Introduction: Studies have shown a high prevalence rate of the symptoms major depression in general population women on Kosovo (43.18%), therefore research impact during pregnancy intrauterine fetal development and complications after delivery at reproductive age has scientific professional rationale. Objective: The purpose study is to correlation with indicators delivery. Method: prospective randomized fulfilling selective criteria included three hundred pregnant second trimester beginning third Kosovo. Scale was determined Hopkins Symptom Check List (HSCL-25). Statistical package for results analysis software SPSS 12, ANOVA analyses, frequencies, Chi square test, linear regression analysis. Results: Significant proven between early mid-pregnancy with: uterine contractions labor, perineal lacerations delivery, tachycardia newborn baby, duration newborn’s stay neonatal intensive care unit, woman's hospital department before delayed start breastfeeding. Findings proved that there no significant emotional state slowing down development. Discussion: Based data from literature, these clinical correlations are result interaction neuroendocrine trajectories pregnancy, fetus placental functions. Conclusion: Major mid-term may specific parameters childbirth baby. obtained suggest need systematic mental health support woman pregnancy.
